I have been going by my middle name Todd except while in school my entire life.

I enlisted in the Army in May 1975 I did my basic training at Fort Leonardwood Missouri and my military police training at Fort McClellan Alabama. I was stationed at Dugway Proving Grounds in Utah with the 65th MP Platoon and then was stationed at Fort Meyers Virginia with the 561st MP Company. I was privileged to be involved when Foreign Diplomats would hang a wreath at the The Tomb of The Unknown Soldier at the Arlington National Cemetery.

After my enlistment after swearing that I would never ever in my lifetime go back to school because I disliked school so much. In Sept 1979 I enrolled at Marshall University to obtain a Bachelors of Science Degree. I had taken some college classes while I was enlisted so with my classes I had taken, my military experience which I was given some college credits for I started as a first term sophomore instead of a freshmen. I graduated in 83 with my BS degree and started working as a M.U. Police Officer.

In 1987 I decided I wanted to pursue a career in law enforcement and move to Columbia S.C. within 2 weeks of my arrival in Columbia I was offered the position as a Richland County Deputy Sheriff and accepted the position. I worked on the road close to one year before I was sent to the South Carolina Law Enforcement Center to become a certified S.C. law enforcement officer. During that year on the road answering calls I was involved in one shooting of a suspect, arresting a murder suspect and various other misdemeanor and felony arrest.
I continuously work in LE while in Columbia but I did resign from the RCSD in 1992 and started working with the Columbia S.C. Police Department I worked there as a line officer until 1996 and was promoted to a master police officers and was sent to D.A.R.E. school and became a elementary D.A.R.E. Instructor and I was also certified as a Crime Prevention officer and was interviewed on local tv news every once and a while. In July of 1998 I returned to the RCSD and was chosen to become field training officer training deputies to prepare to work the line and prepare for the Criminal Justice Academy. In 2002 I was assigned to be a regional investigator and later that year I was promoted to criminal investigator and specialized in motor vehicle theft and recovery. I was a very active law enforcement officer during my time in S.C. until 2004 when I suffered 2 tia's on my 50th birthday.

I moved back to Huntington after I was forced to medically retire from RCSD in July of 2005. Since then I have not really been up to much except for playing video games on my p.c. and Quest Pro VR headset, reading and watching movies and tv programs that I have on two 14 tb harddrives.

I moved to Ironton, Ohio in Aug 2023 and I'm enjoying apartment living after selling my house in Huntington in 2021.

What is shameful for me is that I could not tell anyone but very little about my years in school 1-12. I don't know if I don't remember from my 2 mini strokes or if I blanked it out because those were the worse days of my life and I don't want to remember them. Elementary school wasn't bad until my 6th Grade with old Alma Bluebaum her and her flyswat put so many bruises on my shoulders and arms and some would laugh in the class when she hit me. I know that I was not the best student but there was no reason why she always picked on me but she did. May she rest in peace I did forgive but I can't forget the way she treated me. Then Jr High & High that's when things really started going south people that I didn't go to elementary school with started making fun of me for my clothes not being in style or for not having money like some of them did. But not one of all of my classmates from Charles Russell ever made fun of me.I was so glad when I got my diplomas from Blazer and said I would never step foot into another classroom. After my days in the Army and my discharge I was eligible for the Old GI Bill. I did end taking about 2 or 3 classes on base from Park College on my offtime. I made 2 A's and 1B even surprised myself on those. I enrolled Marshall University in Fall of 79 and I received credit for my basic training and military experience so I was never classified as a freshman in College I received my BS degree in Criminal Justice in 1983 and started as a Police Officer at Marshall U. I wanted more action than a University P.O. so I moved to Columbia,S.C. in 1987 and was hired by The Richland County Sheriff's Department as a deputy sheriff. I worked the road almost a year before I was sent to the S.C. Police Academy. I had already helped arrest a murder suspect, been involved in my first shooting and had been involved in patrol car accident where the tierod broke while crossing a bridge and the car flipped on it's side and hit the bridge. Placing me in the hospital for 2 weeks and recover. So my 22 years total in law enforcement was the best time of my life and I was sorry it had to end with 2 mini-strokes. But my Lord has seen me through a lot in my life and I'm still surviving. I'll post some pics so people will know what I look like now. I had a wild hair in one of them and you'll be able to guess which with no problem.
